The Westopolis vid probably should be in, since IMO it's insanely hard to do what he did.
Grand Metro might as well, since that's probably as good as anyone will get for a long time.
Cosmic Fall, I'm not entirely sure about it.

if I had a chance to redo cosmic fall (either of them) I would.  later after I did it and it popped up here, I knocked off 5 more sec from it and told yoshifan about it.

otherwise it just shows how going to fast can hurt in that game sometimes (among other things).  its still good for what I was showing, but I had myself fall in a black hole that wasn't shown in the vid.

That's two for Taco. Somehow he has a knack of making some really incredible videos. A few things work in favour of this particular vid:
* it's long - an impressive 2'30 vid will always be seen as better than an impressive 0'30 one
* as with anything Taco, the quality is impeccable.
* it doesn't use Sonic, so it at least gave people a chance to catch up. Taco is known for his impossibly fast airdash finger, which put him streets ahead on Sonic Advance 1 and 2.
* and most importantly, it incorporates just about every aspect of Knuckles' play and the quirks of Sonic Advance into the vid. The punch-spindash combination. Strange properties of moving platforms. Even a superglide! It's all there.

Okay, it's an easy level. No enemies or any such things to dodge. Minimal (ab)use of game physics. But this is about the closest video you'll see on the site to something that is perfect. The moment of the run is towards the end, a perfect jump from side-on onto a right-facing spring, resuming running at full pace.

It's not all that great, but it's a classic! It shows me fighting a version disadvantage.
And the move it introduced was used to make Final Egg in 9 seconds possible.

Thanks to everyone who congratulated me on my Cosmic Wall 1 vid. It's not the best quality video, but 22MB is big enough (although I have a 33MB vid that's a bit smoother).

Also, it's quite possible to score more points; if you look at the vid I waste a little bit of time collecting all the rings on the fifth platform in order to get 20 rings at the checkpoint... >_>

...and I also missed a 10-ring capsule that was in plain view near the end... <_<

...also there are two (three?) enemies near the first checkpoint that I missed (off to the right; most people probably don't know they're there)... >_>

...and I could've gone a little faster overall... <_<

Although I will mention that it's possible to do MUCH better due to a glitch (which would allow for 'infinite' score...). :o

What is there to be said? It beat a standing record by about 15 seconds. There's skipping of just about everything, fighting horrible camera angles, and death-defying jumps... and that's all in the first 30 seconds!

Oh and by the way that is the greatest luck I have ever seen on those vertical barrels. Not one random stop! I call BS!

Congrats to F-Man for getting a vid up on the list - obviously there's not many who will. I'd like to think it's some sort of honour.

Shocking, eh? That the video for the halfway point in this Top 10 List comes from the somewhat underrated Sonic 3D Blast. "Why?" I hear you say? Oh, you didn't, no explanation necessary then >_>

On a serious note, this video is in the list for a number of reasons. It owns. Hard. Sure, you can argue that its not a difficult level, but then how hard is Isolated Island 1? Its practically untouchable. Now I wouldnt say I am totally awesome at S3DB, but GG1 was one of my best acts (I do believe I still hae 2nd although I havent checked lately) and I cannot touch this time. Thirdly, S3DB's controls are pretty awkward in terms of precise manouverability, earning this video fame for atleast the next year!
